Until: 05/1/2023 12:00am Marigny Opera House Annual Appeal 2023The Marigny Opera House Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity with the purpose of supporting local performing artists. We present about two concerts per week --- everything between jazz, rock and classical music--- and we produce a full season of ballet with our resident dance company, the Marigny Opera Ballet. Most of our performances are donation-based; no one is turned away for lack of funds. We always give at least 60% of gross donations to the performers. Until: 04/1/2020 12:00am Marigny Opera House Annual Appeal 2020The Marigny Opera House begins its 10th year of presenting New Orleans-based artists, with an average of 2 performances every week: classical music, jazz, dance, new music, songwriters, and more. Last year more than 270 local artists performed. And almost all the performances have been donation-based, with no one turned away for lack of funds. The Marigny Opera Ballet, our resident dance company, presents full seasons of professional dance. And the Opera House is frequently used for community events: 12-step meetings, memorial services, and events for New Orleans Musicians Clinic and other community groups. None of this would be possible without support from donors. This year, please help us with any gift possible.
