Giving Tuesday - Marigny Opera House Foundation

Please help support our work with an end-of-year donation

Six years ago the abandoned Holy Trinity Church became the Marigny Opera House. The building had no water, no plumbing, no air conditioning or heat, but it was brought back to life in November 2011 to host the New Orleans Fringe Festival. The grand old building was filled once again with children and adults, gathering together to enjoy performances of dance, music and theater.

The Marigny Opera House has been presenting local artists ever since, and is now the home of the Marigny Opera Ballet, the city's full-time resident dance company presenting a full season of contemporary ballet.

Did you know that we present an average of 2.5 performances a week, and that nearly all of our events are donation-based and free?

If you've ever attended a performance at the Marigny Opera House, I'm hoping you will consider helping us this month with an end-of-the-year gift. Your donation will go far, and help us continue our operations into a new year of concerts, recitals, plays, musicals, ballets, jazz, community events, 12-step meetings and more.
