Did You Know that Drowning is the Leading Cause
of Accidental Death for Ages 5 & Under?
A child dies from drowning every minute across the globe. It’s the silent epidemic that no one is talking about. The absolute blessing here is that drowning is preventable. Through pooling our resources and connecting underserved children with providers who can help educate families how to keep their children safe and who can give children the ability to save their own lives through learning to swim, community by community, we can reverse the tide of child drownings worldwide.
Hope Floats is the vehicle through which people like you, businesses, and government can pool together to do something extraordinary: Save the lives of children across the globe by giving them the life-saving skill of swimming. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, just like yourself, businesses, and government that want to do good works in their community. That money is used to give scholarships and tuition assistance to underprivileged children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons.
