An herbal workshop with Kumudini Shoba

Join us at the Whidbey Institute’s Westgarden for this offering, the second of three herbal classes running through fall 2018.


This class with be all about the abundant healing energy of summer! Master Herbalist Kumudini Shoba will help us explore an assortment of medicinal flowers that will be in bloom in late June. From roses to lavender to calendula and clover, we will smell, taste, and learn all about these plant allies. This hands on class will take place in the garden and greenhouse.


Kumudini Shoba is an Ayurvedic practitioner from a family in Sri Lanka with a long “Vaidhya” (healer) tradition.  She has studied both eastern and western herbs, and has a master’s degree in bio-organic chemistry.
