Brave Practice creates Spaces that Spark

A Playback Theatre performance in support of Window Seat Media

Window Seat invites you to an in-person evening of interactive storytelling with Brave Practice. We will reflect on the theme “Spaces that Spark,” connect in community, share stories, and enjoy light refreshments.

Playback Theatre is an original form of interactive and improvisational theatre where audience members are invited to tell true stories from their lives and performers enact those stories on the spot using music, dialogue, metaphor, and movement.

Brave Practice is a community engagement program of Window Seat that aims to be a resource for storytelling and deep listening. At our performances and workshops, members of our community can connect authentically in meaningful ways through art, empathy, and witnessing one another’s truth; we create spaces where we can explore what it means to be human, celebrate our differences, and reflect on our shared past, present, and future.

This event is part of Window Seat Media’s “Spaces that Spark” community-centered fundraiser series. Donations at the time of registration and during the event will support future community oral history and storytelling in the South Sound. Learn more about our campaign here.

Covid safety statement and compliance plan: This is a registration-only event and we are keeping our capacity low to about 30 guests. We will serve light refreshments. We ask that audience members remain masked when not eating and drinking and either provide proof of vaccination or have proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours. You can email these ahead of time to meg@windowseatmedia.org or bring them with you to show at the event. Performers are all vaccinated and will (most likely) NOT be masked during the performance. We cannot admit guests who have not provided the requested information. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
