After our first successful summer managing Fawcett DIY - a free, outdoor, public skatepark - Alchemy is hoping to make our indoor space free for the winter as well.
There is, on average, less than 40 dry days in the Tacoma area between November-January. This does not take into consideration days where it does not rain, but the ground remains wet all day.
Alchemy currently operates Pierce County’s only public indoor skate space - charging a $5 fee to ride for 1-2 hrs* including access to boards, pads, and helmets. Any rider 24 & under experiencing any financial hardships can currently apply to skate for free.
Help us brace for the wet weather. With your support we can make skating indoors even easier this winter. All donations are tax-deductible as Alchemy Skateboarding is a 501-c3 non-profit organization.
Monthly donations make one of the largest impacts on Alchemy’s ability to budget, plan, and keep costs down for skaters. We are asking you to commit to three months of giving at a level that is meaningful and sustainable for you.
If we hit our 10K goal all Drop-In Sessions at Alchemy will be FREE for the public from Nov-January. Private Rentals, Birthday Parties, and Lessons will continue to be offered at their normal rate.
Not only does your support help make Alchemy’s park more accessible this winter, every donation contributes towards our annual 60K goal which supports all of our various programs and services including Fawcett DIY, SALT, METALS, and Skate Clubs - for a complete list of programs and more information, visit our website at: www.alchemyskate.org
