After a decade of skateboard programs and services in the heart of Downtown Tacoma Alchemy it is time to expand! - We are fundraising to grow the county's only indoor skatepark.
Our building, located at 311 S 7th St. has been a hub for thousands of skaters to connect, skate, learn, and grow over the past 10 years, and there is a unit upstairs that is now on the market.
If we are unable to fundraise the amount to expand upstairs before our another potential tenant signs a lease we may not be able to continue programming in the park. In order to stay in this location, we are fundraising to meet the increased rental expenses that will allow us to expand into the upstairs unit.
Not only will this expansion allows us to stay and continue our work, but the upstairs facility will allow for the addition of new class rooms, art production space, offices, and meeting spaces for our hands-on programs. Additionally we can consider relocating our skateshop upstairs making space to expand our skate park by aproximately 1,000 sq/ft allowing improved skate program opportunities!
