Alchemy Skateboarding & Education Center

Thank you for your support of the youth served by Alchemy Indoor Skate Park & Education Center. Your generosity helps build a future where formerly marginalized and at-risk youth and young adults are recognized as positive contributors and an integral part of our vibrant community.

“Every day’s a good day if I can come to Alchemy,” says Jacob Willcox, a local high school student who volunteers each week, completes his homework at the indoor drop-in center and participates in Alchemy’s leadership program. “I see skating as a kind of therapy. If I’m angry or upset, I’m a better person after I skate.”

Alchemy offers for-credit programming in partnership with local high-schools that engages youth through skateboarding; after school enrichment skate clubs at two elementary schools,  S.A.L.T, a leadership program encouraging civic participation and community change projects; the only indoor drop-in skate facility in the region, which is accessible to youth regardless of their ability to pay; camps and classes; and Go Skate Tacoma, a community-wide celebration held in downtown Tacoma.
