Services & Impact

In 2023, the Thurston County Food Bank served 61,550 individuals. In addition to distributing groceries from our Client Service Center in downtown Olympia we provide groceries to our neighbors in rural or outlying areas via our 17 "satellite food bank" locations. Homebound individuals are served through grocery deliveries to 9 "mobile food bank" locations. Other services provided by the Food Bank include:-The FORKids program provides weekend food bags to elementary school children. At the end of the 2013-2014 school year, this program was service over 1,800 children per week. -The School Gardens program collaborates with local schools and teachers to manage 14 gardens which help to teach children in low income communities about growing healthy foods. -The Gleaning and Produce programs collaborate to procure, process and distribute over 469,000 pounds of food to our neighbors in need.
