Project Playground

Help Us Build a Playground for Pear Blossom Place Family Homeless Shelter

We want you to be a part of the Class of 2015’s legacy by donating to support the construction of a playground for children being served by the Family Support Center of South Sound (FSCSS).  FSCSS provides families with emergency shelter and housing assistance at Pear Blossom Place Family Shelter in downtown Olympia.

The shelter staff and its regular volunteers provide warm beds, hot meals, and a wide variety of support and services  for women, men (in families), and children who are experiencing temporary homelessness.  Pear Blossom Place provides a safe and welcoming place for families, and our class project will help provide a fun outdoor space where the kids at Pear Blossom can play and explore—and just be kids during a trying time in their lives.

Pear Blossom Family Shelter is making a difference in the lives of Thurston County children and families. You are invited to partner with us in our fundraising efforts to continue to support this outstanding organization.  We hope that we can count on you to contribute to meeting our goal of raising $15,000.

As a registered, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Leadership Thurston County and the Thurston County Chamber Foundation will build on the generous support of caring people like you.
