Edmonds Food Bank

Peeling Back the Layers of Food Insecurity

Services & Impact

The Edmonds Food Bank was founded in the closet with no refrigerator or freezer space in 1981. In the beginning, we served 20 people per week. Today the food bank serves over 350 families each week and distributes over 50,000 meals worth of groceries each month.

Each week our volunteers work 7 days a week in the community completing grocery rescue pickups. Our community provides individual, business and group donations as well. This food is inspected and sorted for multiple weekly distributions. This is in addition to our partnerships with Northwest Harvest, Food Lifeline and EastWest Food Rescue. We also are approved and contracted to received food through VOA for TEFAP foods.

Even with this amazing work we also purchase additional items often at deep discounts for our customers. Your $20 donation can provide 4 families with fresh vegetables or fresh dairy & eggs each week. That makes a huge difference in the lives of these adults and children who depend on the food bank as a way of addressing their food insecurity.

Thank you for supporting Edmonds Food Bank.
