Be a Steward of Land and Buildings
Support our Place team as they steward 106 acres of conservation forest, the Heartland and Legacy Forest, 2 beautiful gardens, a large labyrinth, over 4 miles of publicly accessible trails, 2 major gatherings spaces, 41 beds in 26 rooms, the Sanctuary and much needed support buildings.
We often hear our guests share how they start breathing more deeply, more slowly as soon as they turn down the gravel road to the Whidbey Institute. After they move their luggage to their rooms, they walk the campus, sit on a bench and take in the evening light. They meet their fellow program participants and enjoy a nourishing meal, often outside on the porch or in our lovely dining hall. It is our place and facilities team who have taken care of every detail in a way that our guests can slow down to meet their breath and begin their program. They will leave feeling held and nourished and ready in a new way to meet the challenges and opportunities of their home and work lives.
