A child dies from drowning every minute across the globe. It’s the silent epidemic that no one is talking about. The absolute blessing here is that drowning is preventable.
I am participating in Swim For Hope at SwimKids Swim School to benefit Hope Floats Foundation. During my swim lesson or practice, I will be doing as many minutes of safety skills as I can (OR swimming as many laps as I can) to raise money for scholarships for kids who may not be able to afford lessons. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, just like yourself, to give scholarships and tuition assistance to underprivileged children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons and give children the ability to save their own lives through learning to swim. Community by community, we can reverse the tide of child drownings worldwide. Help us end childhood drowning by donating to help teach a child in need. Learn more at http://www.hopefloats.foundation. Hope Floats Foundation is a nonprofit 503c foundation; donations may qualify as tax-deductible (donors should consult with their tax professional for individual advice).
