The Dallas Chapter of the National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression protest defense fund exists to cover costs associated with protests and the repression these demonstrations can suffer. Protesting is a democratic right, but often organizers suffer a huge cost which this fund exists to help alleviate. Tickets, impounded cars, loss of or damage to personal property, travel & access needs are all costs that committed activists deal with on a regular basis, and we don't want to let this stall the movement!

We work to end police misconduct, prison profiteering, racist & political repression, and economic injustice. Our strategy is not to merely be reactive to incidents of state sanctioned violence and repression, but to build towards meaningful change in the power dynamic between our neighborhoods and the police.
