Services & Impact

In 2009, our founder's mom and 15 year old niece were diagnosed with cancer a day apart. Thankfully her niece is a SURVIVOR, nine years cancer free and about to begin her own family! Unfortunately, in 2011 her mom lost her courageous fight.

In 2013, we held the first Heroes for Hope 5K. Our goal was to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. We held the race again in 2014 with more superheroes joining our mission.

In 2015, we decided we wanted to do more!! We created an official non-profit organization with the mission to help individuals and families facing life's most difficult times, raise funds and awareness of similar organizations, and encourage others to BE THE HERO and provide HOPE to someone in need.

We have developed projects and programs that are dear to our hearts and include the following areas of interest: childhood cancer, military, elderly, and the homeless. We have an incredibly dedicated Board of Directors and Advisory Committee that work tirelessly to make a direct impact in people's lives and create greatness.

Highlights

	CHILDHOOD CANCER - We have committed to making an annual contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We provide emotional, spiritual, and financial support to local families fighting childhood cancer. We have a HERO squad that provides Superhero visits to hospitals, birthday parties, no mo chemo parties, etc. We honor our local HERO kids at our annual 5K and other events. We collaborate with and provide support to other local childhood cancer organizations.
	MILITARY - We support our service members and veterans by making contributions to organizations such as Operation Homefront, Serving Our Soldiers, and Brother's Keepers
	HOMELESS - Annually we distribute Blessing Bags full of personal care items, beenies, socks, gloves and snacks to the homeless men, women, and children in our community. We collaborate with Holy Smokes BBQ to provide these individuals with a BBQ lunch.
	ELDERLY - We collaborate with the JPS Geriatric Clinic to provide personal care items to their patients. Many of their patients are low-income, homeless and are living with complicated chronic illnesses. They often do not get enough help in their homes, enough food to eat, enough household supplies, or have adequate living arrangements.
