American Documentary (AmDoc) is a leading media arts non-profit supporting bold documentaries and documentarians for the public good. For the past three decades, American Documentary (AmDoc) has presented more than 500 nonfiction and interactive projects through its award-winning programs reaching millions of viewers around the country, for free. In addition to producing two nonfiction series for public broadcast, AmDoc has been at the forefront of digital experimentation since launching 'POV Online' in 1994 -- the very first website for a public television series.

For these efforts, AmDoc has been honored by numerous accolades including 3 Academy Awards, 38 Emmys, 24 George Foster Peabody Awards, and 13 duPont-Columbia Awards. Our digital mediamakers have presented their innovations at SXSW, Tribeca Interactive, MIT Doc Lab, and have been honored with Webby, Telly and Horizon Innovation awards.
