What is the need for a Family Advocate (FA)?
Poverty is complex, including much more than a lack of money or material goods. Poverty is rooted in broken relationship with God, self, others and the rest of world.
What is a Family Advocate?
A Family Advocate (FA) is someone who will commit to be in relationship with a working poor family and help them move towards healthy community, stable housing, financial stability, and spiritual growth. The FA will do this by coming alongside families in need to listen, help create and complete goals, and connect them to the resources they need to move forward. They are primarily advocates and connectors, not providers.
