Melissa Mantz & Luke DeBoer Paddle for Promise 2018!

We (Luke is paddling!) are going down the river for the kids and teens at UPT!

Yes, WE are going down the Delaware River...which means Luke will be in the boat to paddle the 25 miles down to Camden and I will be cheering him on! Very enthusiastically!

Here's a word from Luke on why he is willing to jump in an outrigger canoe for UPT:

Hello, my name is Luke DeBoer and I am a seminary intern at Transformation Church in Trenton, NJ. I am excited to be a part of UrbanPromise’s event, Paddle for Promise, because I want to affirm their goal of making summer camp available to all kids. I went to a Christian summer camp every year when I was a kid and it changed my life, I even met my future wife at camp. I believe all kids should have the opportunity to attend summer camp, so I’m asking volunteers to come alongside me and donate to UrbanPromise Trenton and help make camp available to urban kids in need! Thank you all in advance for any prayers or financial donations you are able to provide!

Blessings!

Luke

Luke has got it right- our SummerCamps change lives! Our SummerCamp Program provide a FREE summer camp experience to 100 children in Trenton. Our campers enjoy lots of fun games and projects at camp. They  go to places like Trenton Circus Squad and learn how to golf with First Tee of Greater Trenton. Campers at Camp Grace partner with a mentor from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County. AND all students will participate in Magic School Bus, a program created by our Academic Director and designed to stem summer learning loss. This program is a fun mix of reading, spelling, writing and math geared specifically to each grade.

I love the kids and teens who are part of our UrbanPromise Trenton family, it is such a gift to know them and watch them grow and change over the years. It really IS inspiring work!

I look forward to cheering Luke on and we are both very grateful for your support of our Paddle-you are making a difference for the kids and teens in Trenton!
