Let me share my story with you.
About 18 months ago, I made a big decision in my life. Simply put, I was tired of losing the "battle of the bulge". Instead of going on a fad diet for a little while, I decided to take things seriously. I joined a local gym, as well as a local club that helps people stick to a simple approach to diet, exercise and accountability. I set an aggressive goal, and began working toward it.
Something about this process clicked with me, and I began to experience great results. As I lost weight, and continued to push myself at the gym, I started to realize that a dream was beginning to take shape.
In early January, I signed up for the Lincoln half-marathon! Crazy, huh?
After tons of running the streets and trails of Omaha, the venue will change to Memorial Stadium and the streets of Lincoln this coming Sunday, May 1st.
I'll be running for a personal accomplishment and with friends, but I'll also be running with purpose!
I've set a goal to raise $13,100 in donations through this run! That's $1000 dollars for every mile. I think we can do this, but it's going to take a bunch of people just like you to make it happen. Would you consider sponsoring me as I run?
Here's the best part. The money raised will be put towards our Summer and Fall Student Ministry budgets for Christian Student Fellowship. This budget covers the costs for all of our events, promotional materials and Bible study materials at each of the seven campuses CSF reaches out to. July, August & September are all about reaching out to new students, and giving them a great place to belong in their faith journey. YOU can help make this a success!
