Pro(ACT) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, service-learning organization committed to enriching the lives of youth and professionals in the Greater Indianapolis area through community service. We are focused primarily on economically disadvantaged youth whom we organize into small teams. These teams run community service projects in Marion County and beyond. We are based in Lawrence Township, Indianapolis, Indiana. As a nonprofit organization, Pro(ACT) addresses challenging social issues year-round.

Our signature program is Project (Greater Than) Me. This program’s model encourages each participating youth to evolve through the course of many community service projects and to make a meaningful impact on social issues in Indianapolis. Youth begin their journey with us in seventh grade and continue until they graduate high school.

As a culmination to their service work over the course of their secondary education, youth are eligible for a service trip overseas to experience service-learning on a higher level.

We are raising funds as seed money to help develop an international service-learning option for our inner city service-oriented students leaders.

Funds raised will send two of Pro(ACT)'s staff members to Swaziland in March 2015 to cast a vision and develop a plan for our 2016 service-learning trip with our Student Leaders.

We will take this journey with our International Partner, Give Hope, Fight Poverty, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster philanthropy domestically by designing service-learning programs that engage US students & professionals with rural communities in Swaziland, Africa and work together to educate, empower and lift orphaned and vulnerable children - particularly those living in child-headed households - out of poverty.

Help us take this first step to exposing inner-city youth to International service!
