On Tuesday, December 1, ProAct is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Over the past five years, ProAct has become a leader in service-learning in Indianapolis. Our programs and services offer many opportunities for people of all ages and diverse backgrounds to engage with their community in innovative community service events that educate, delight, and inspire. We stress the importance of building a relationship with those people we serve in the community in order to change, for some, what it means to serve. We inspire youth ages 10-18 to imagine, plan, and implement their own service projects equipping our scholars with the confidence they need to be inspiring community leaders. We simultaneously empower, support, inspire, and advocate for vibrant, diverse organizations in the nonprofit community through valuable partnerships.
Since 2012, ProAct has engaged 4,087 boys and girls in public service - that's over 77 busloads! Has completed 191 service projects, and our youth have logged in over 12,000 hours of community service!
