Our hearts are filled with excitement to announce the official launch of Fortaleza Familiar. Fortaleza Familiar is dedicated to the wellness of Indigenous Chicanx Latinx Lesbian Gay Bi Queer Trans Two-Spirit young people and their families.


At Fortaleza Familiar, we believe in the power of young LBTQ2S Indigenous Chicanx and Latinx people. We believe our collective resilience will lead to community safety and wellness. 


Help us build a powerful space for our young people and families. One that celebrates existence, ignites resistance, demands justice, and creates safety.

In Memoriam of Mimi Madrid

Mimi’s lasting revolutionary legacy will live on in the streets, over cafecitos, at community rallies, and even in the plant department of the local hardware store. Mimi reminded everyone that resistance and celebration were two wings of the same bird. Whether organizing, marching, or simply sharing space with community, Mimi brought people together with purpose and joy. El legado revolucionario de Mimi perdurará en las calles, en las charlas informales con un cafecito, en las protestas comunitarias e incluso en la sección de plantas en la tienda de ferretería. Mimi nos recordaba a todos que la resistencia y la celebración eran dos alas del mismo pájaro. Ya fuera organizando, marchando o simplemente compartiendo un espacio con la comunidad, Mimi unía a la gente con propósito y alegría. ¡MIMI PRESENTE!

End of the Year Celebration

This fundraiser matters because, in a time of turmoil where Trans rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant rights continue to be attacked, we need to support organizations like Fortaleza Familiar. Their work helps LGBTQ+ youth and their families access safe spaces, community care, and pathways toward self-determination. Posada Colibrí brings people together through culture, drag, food, music, and generosity. Every sponsorship helps make the event possible and helps us direct more support back into the community.
