The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County’s (SVdP) 4^th Annual “Eat Your Heart Out” Dinner and Auction needs you!

YOUR GENEROSITY AT PAST EVENTS

Built a food pantry to better serve families in East Palo Alto at SVdP’s St. Francis of Assisi Conference.

Helped transform women’s lives at SVdP’s Catherine Center.

Kept the porch light on with rent, utility and food assistance for families in need through SVdP’s Peninsula Family Resource Center.

HOME (LESS) IMPROVEMENT

This year’s Fund-A-Need supports SVdP’s Homeless Help Centers - an upgrade to a commercial kitchen in South San Francisco and an update in San Mateo; ensuring that we can continue to provide compassionate care and support to our homeless brothers and sisters.

SVdP’s Homeless Help Centers offer hot meals, food, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, blankets, transportation assistance, mail service, laundry service, and shower tokens. SVdP’s Frank & Mary Draeger Food Fund helps feed our persistently unstably housed neighbors.

“Janet”, a past guest at SVdP's Homeless help Center brought a card and candy by to say “Thank You” for the services she had received.  She wrote, “Dear SVdP, To each of you who have brought comfort and joy to the many, may you be blessed through the year.” Janet was able to find a job and currently shares an apartment.  She recently began to work a second job and hopes to find her own apartment soon.  She can see a future filled with possibilities now.
