Odyssey School Benefit Gala 2025

Dear Odyssey Friends,

We are happy to invite you to Odyssey's annual Benefit Gala!

We have a wonderful evening planned for at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club.  Our amazing Odyssey Parent Association, with a core team of dedicated volunteers, has done a remarkable job putting together an evening that parents will enjoy and remember fondly.  It's a moment for parents and community members to celebrate Odyssey together over dinner, music and excellent company.

We will kick off the evening with cocktails starting at 5:30pm, followed by a sit-down three course meal.  We will collect your dinner entree selections by emailing a google document to you after your ticket purchase.

The main event at our dinner will be the Fund-a-Need and Fund-a-Future portion of the evening.  Your tax deductible participation is a critical part of helping our school continue to sustain its healthy financial course.  These two donation categories are

1. Fund-a-Need:  Access Fund & Core Education

• Access Fund - This fund supports 30% of our students who receive tuition assistance.  It provides access for families who love Odyssey but might not otherwise be able to afford it, and helps us build diverse body of students.

• Core Education - This fund addresses the fact that the cost of attendance is greater than what Odyssey's tuition covers, and this account covers the gap by allowing Odyssey to invest in the professional development of staff, new expeditionary equipment for the student body and new academic equipment and technology for Odyssey's academic programs.

2. Fund-a-Future: Endowment

• This fund strengthens Odyssey's future by building our endowment that will act as a foundation for Odyssey's financial future and institutional sustainability.  The generous donations of current parents will help ensure success decades into the future.  Just as current parents have benefited from the generous parents preceding us over Odyssey's 25 years, their own donations at the Gala this year will play a significant role in keeping Odyssey robust and strong even during any unpredictable swings in the national economy.

Gala Three-Course Dinner Menu

    Salad Spring Mix Salad:  Mixed greens, candied walnuts, toy box     tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, watermelon radish, balsamic dressing.

    Choice of Entree, with warm rolls & butter:

• Mary's Bricked Lemon Herb Chicken – Boneless half chicken crisped, whipped Yukon Gold potatoes, finished with truffle oil, roasted cauliflower, tomatoes, herbed poultry jus.

• Grilled Filet Mignon – Tender filet of beef with confit of shallot, whipped potato, steamed buttered asparagus, Cabernet wine sauce.

• Lemon Pepper Artichoke Fettuccine (vegetarian) – Fresh pasta, roasted fresh local artichokes with Gilroy garlic, spinach, sliced baby mushrooms, tomato, vegetarian broth, extra virgin olive oil.

    Dessert Chocolate Decadence Cake – Chocolate mousse cake with Zinfandel     blackberry sauce, whipped cream & fresh raspberries. Freshly brewed coffee &     tea
