Services & Impact


Sahaba Initiative’s philosophy is to empower and sustain families in the American Muslim diasphora with programs that address mental health issues, poverty, hunger while also focusing on creating a narrative and culture of service. We aspire to build a legacy for the future that’s rooted in supporting one another and bringing people together of all backgrounds to empower and serve the most vulnerable.


  • Resource Center that partners with  local organizations to mentor families and individuals by providing numerous services such as Drug & Alcohol Support, Financial Assistance & More
  • Food Pantry to assist families and individuals who are suffering from hunger. Our goal is to provide basic foods for those that are in need and complementary nutritional mentoring and programming which will empower an individual.
  • Torchbearers Youth program works with college and high school students to provide community services to our local community. A part of our service learning program where promote cooperation, character building and critical thinking skills.
  • Zakat Assistance to families who are struggling to manage their payments. Our focus is to develop long term self sufficency for families through managing their finances and skill development. Our approach differs based on each families circumstance, our clients vary from local families, refugees and many other families.
  • The Community Garden is where Sahaba Initiative has carefully cultivated a variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables. The Garden also operates as a place of healing and all are welcome to toil in the Garden as a form of therapeutic and spiritual relief.
  • Support groups for a limited number of people usually 10-20 people and focus on growing together overcoming a number of situations from Drug & Alcohol recovery to sexual and physical abuse.
