On #GivingTuesday, Start a Ripple

A loving, learning environment helps a refugee child thrive and overcome obstacles that he or she is not responsible for.  The early years are essential in creating the intellectual, emotional, and physical tools that will allow a child become a productive member of society.

Our Giving Tuesday goal is to build a new Little Ripples Pond, provide education for 45 refugee girls and boys, and train and employ two refugee women teachers.  Your gift of $25 towards a $5,000 goal will allow us to do so.

Thank you for starting a ripple of hope.

Meet Roumane:
Roumane is 5 years old and a preschool student at Little Ripples for Darfuri children in refugee camp Goz Amer. She has lived her whole life in the refugee camp, as have most of her 9 siblings. They are farmers, and are able to yield a good amount of food five months out of the year, but are still hungry most days.
Roumane loves playing with her brothers and their homemade cars! She also helps cook by bringing her mother water. She loves it when her Little Ripples teacher sings along with the class. Learning her letters and singing are Roumane's favorite part of Little Ripples. She can’t wait to learn to write!
Why I Give to iACT:
“We love supporting iACT because of the fabulous opportunities they make possible for people who have lost their homes and in many cases, their loved ones.....the schools in the refugee camps, as well as the football (soccer) team.  The commitment shown by iACT by returning to the Chad-Sudan border whenever they can to serve and help is the reason why we want to support them as much as we can.”  - Carl and Teresa Wilkens
"I give to iACT because I believe that the hope for Darfuri refugee's future and really the hope for all of our future is in our children and in education.  Little Ripples gives young children that chance and not only them, but their older siblings and mothers as well.  We have to believe that there is a possibility at a better life for the people of Darfur who have been displaced for far too long.  iACT's programs give them that chance.  I can't think of a better organization to give to."  - Lauren Fortgang
