Ellen's Half Marathon for Little Ripples!

On Mother's Day 2015, I will run 13.1 miles to support Little Ripples, a preschool program in Darfuri refugee camps

On Mothers' Day, May 10, 2015 I am runnning the Eugene (half) Marathon to raise funds for Little Ripples!

I'm am 61 years old and did not stop running until last December. I am running to honor the mothers in these and all other camps around the world who are watching helplessly as we say "there's nothing we can do" for them and their children. Little Ripples is a preschool education program for dArfuri refugeeg girls and boys living in isolated and remote refugee camps in eastern Chad. It is a program coordinatied by i-ACT which is run by extrememly dedicated people, two of whom I have known for a long time and respect tremendously.

All I am asking of you is to donate $1 or more for each of the 13.1 miles that I will run rain or shine.

That is all you have to do. When many of you do this, it will have a great impact on the families lives and the future of their children. The two highest pledges over $100 will receive a gallery quality Darfuri Doll made by me. Your donations to i-ACT/Little Ripples are fully tax deductible.

Here's how you can do it:

1. You can donate on this page now.

2. You can call, email, or Facebook message me with your pledges and you can donate after the marathon on this page or via check to i-ACT (with Ellen's Marathon in the memo line and  mail it to 1732 Aviation Blvd #138, Redondo Beach, CA 90278)

Thank you for your support,

Whatever you do may seem insignificant, but it most important that you do it.
