Hip Hop For Change , in partnership with Lo-Fi Language Learning is looking to bring a selected group of our Pipeline 2 Positivity participants with us for a week of Hip Hop cultural exchange, education and performances in Taiwan. From August 11th-19th, participants will collaborate with Taiwanese Hip Hop artists along with HH4C mentors through a series of workshops, recording sessions and a host of other activities that will culminate in a final performance. Join us in making this once in a lifetime experience a reality for Oakland youth.
What Is Pipeline 2 Positivity?
P2P is an intensive artist development and accelerator program. Participants will learn key skills and be provided important resources to pursue creative careers within Hip Hop Culture and the tech/entrepreneurial space, grounded in the history and legacy of the culture, social justice and communal responsibility. Activities include, but are not limited to:
• DJ'ing and Beatmaking
• Songwriting, Recording and Performing
• Music Video Filmmaking and Production
• Photography
• Graphic Design
• Computer Coding
• Fashion Design
• Concert Production
• Social Media Marketing
• Entrepreneurship training
Aside from these cutting edge career fields, participants will be provided tools for socio-emotional learning, training in the following:
• Trauma Informed Care
• Dynamic Mindfulness
• Non Violent Communication
• Restorative Justice
