The entertainment world has been shifting for quite some time now.
Corporations are continuing to push death, destruction, ignorance and toxicity on to our young people as "The Culture". Young people are becoming increasingly isolated while being bombarded with false stereotypes and narratives of identity as well as success.
In the face of this adversity, Hip Hop For Change has been working tirelessly to change this and create community based counter narratives rooted in the
foundational principles of Hip Hop, which are peace, love, unity and having fun.
In 2025, HH4C aims to:
1. Hire and train new local artists educators to serve as mentors in schools.
2. Provide outside of school programs and resources to youth, ages 24 and under.
3. Produce and curate more empowering Hip Hop based events and
performances for the community.
4. Collaborate with other like minded organizations to accomplish and increase our impact and effecacy towards our mission.
2025 will be a milestone year for Hip Hop For Change, Inc. After having already served over 45,000 youth through our programs, we aim to expand and introduce our movement to more young people and local artists. Our new Oakland recording studio and San Francisco film space, paired with our work in schools, will continue to provide brave and safe spaces for healthy self expression and community empowerment. We're leveraging the transformative force of Hip Hop culture as a means of more effectively working towards social justice, wellness, personal growth and workforce development.
