I joined the TRC family as a Bilingual Therapist volunteer in August 2016 and am grateful to have found a place that aligns with my personal values of diversity, inclusion, social justice and community. TRC provides individual, couples, family and group therapy using a sliding scale so services are available to everyone who needs them. In my time thus far, I have worked with clients struggling and recovering from depression, loss, trauma, isolation, PTSD, anxiety and substance use. I have been privileged to witness clients make progress toward healing, self-love and realizing they have the power to make choices in their lives and how they live it. It's powerful!
I currently co-lead the Process Group where anyone can join and receive support and resonance from peers. The power of empathy and connection always leaves me in awe. I also lead a Bilingual Yoga class and am passionate about increasing access and services for our Spanish speaking community. This month we are starting a Nature Group to welcome the community to share in breath and movement while connecting to nature. I am grateful that a place like TRC exists and that I get to see the positive impact on the lives of individuals and the community on a daily basis. I hope you consider supporting our work! We need a place like TRC now more than ever!
For our end of the year challenge, I am hoping to raise $1,000 by December 31st. All of the funds go toward our services and programming for the community. $5, $10....anything makes a difference!
