Santa Clara Valley Science and Engineering Fair Association

The Santa Clara County’s Science Fair, The Synopsys Championship, is recognized today as a gold standard model/platform for extracurricular thought leadership and personal development among middle and high school students. The Santa Clara Valley Science and Engineering Fair Association (SCVSEFA) brings opportunities for innovation annually to 90+ middle and high schools throughout the Santa Clara County (public, private, and charter). Over 1000 students participate each year. We usually send 10 projects to the international science fair (ISEF), where over 60% win awards; and about 98 projects to the California Science and Engineering Fair(CSEF), where about 50% win awards.  We also provide the largest contingent of semifinalists and finalists in the Broadcom MASTERS competition, as well as many other winners at other competitions. Our students garner scholarships to top universities, patents, and internships at top technology firms in the valley. Over the past decade,  SCVSEFA’s teachers have taken home several teacher of the year awards. We are proud to support our local educators and our future science and engineering leaders.
