PS Someone Cares

A Commitment To Our Community And Our Nurses

We are pleased to introduce you to PS Someone Cares, Inc. a San Diego based

501 (c) (3) non-profit, that is changing lives by providing financial support through scholarships to single parents that are attending nursing school.

The organization was created to address two serious needs in our community:

1. Single parent households need financial support to complete their studies and achieve their educational and career goals.
2. Address the shortage of nurses required to meet our communities’ needs.

At the age of 33 years old I became a widow and found myself struggling to provide for our four children. With the support of my local community, I was able to complete college and become a Registered Nurse. My nursing school achievement enabled us to have the financial income necessary to raise our family economically, spiritually, and socially in the environment that my husband and I had hoped for.  It changed our life in such a positive way when we needed it most.

I made the commitment to one day repay the generosity that was bestowed upon our family by my community. With the support of other friends, family, and generous donors PS Someone Cares has enabled us to fulfill that commitment. Our efforts to impact nursing and support single parents can only happen with your ongoing support in the community. Each gift, no matter how large or small, will help us to continue our mission.
