Let There Be Light!

an invitation from the First Congregational Church of Palo Alto

Our goal is to help send the next pallet of 2,880 Luci Lights to Gaza's children.

We, the Peace and Justice Task Force at the First Congregational Church in Palo Alto, invite you to join us on May 21st for a lovely dinner, lit by solar-powered lanterns hanging from the trees in our courtyard.  If you would like to join us, please do — and if you are busy that night, please contribute through this site.

Here's why this matters:  Gaza is still recovering from 51days of bombing in 2014.  Electricity, water, and sewage systems are all still very fragile and over 17,000 people are still in temporary houseing.  Families there are affected daily by rolling black-outs lasting 8-10 hours, and sometimes power is only available for a few hours per day.   Children must do their homework by dangerous kerosene lamps or candle-light.

Donna from Rebuilding Alliance was in Gaza just a few weeks ago to distribute the first pallet of Luci Lights.  Families deeply appreciated them, especially children, moms, and grandparents (dads too).

Please donate now to help Rebuilding Alliance send more.
