The United Way of Baldwin County is a network of organizations that brings people together to tackle community issues. Our goal is to create lasting change by addressing the underlying causes to problems in the areas of health, education and financial stability. This is accomplished through a collaborative effort with our community partners and programs designed to address the needs of Baldwin County citizens.

Goals of building blocks:

Education: Grade level reading by 3^rd grade

Initiatives

Reach Out and Read program (with local pediatrician offices)
Partnering with agencies and/or libraries for summer reading programs
Working toward a daycare curriculum

Health: Decrease drug and alcohol usage through education, prevention and rehabilitation and improve health among children in Baldwin County

Partnering with agencies who address drug and alcohol abuse the funding, education and community involvement

Financial Stability: Improving financial literacy among adults to encourage a lifetime of financial well-being
