Formula for Change

Formula for Change When Anel Trujillo, mom of two, needed to find secure housing and a job, she faced two huge obstacles: She didn’t have access to the internet or enough computer know-how. But, with training from Community Technology Network at Twitter's NeighborNest in San Francisco, Anel learned how to create a kick-ass resume and apply for employment online. The result? She got a job! But not just any job: a job that set her off on her dream career in social work. Now she uses her new computer skills every day at work and also with her young sons, Christian and Richard. Anel is proof positive that CTN’s simple digital inclusion formula works: Access + Training = Opportunity. Your donation helps us provide access and training in underserved communities. Help us transform more lives through digital literacy today and your donation will be matched by Twitter!

Help Ready, Set, Connect! Close the Digital Divide

FACT: It’s estimated that 100,000 San Francisco residents, and even more across the Bay Area, don’t have access to the internet or the skills and know-how to use it. FACT: Not having a computer and internet service at home keeps people in poverty. Community Technology Network is working to end that cycle of poverty while helping youth in Oakland succeed in life through our Ready, Set, Connect! program. And thanks to a generous matching grant from Twitter, if you give today—your donation will double!
