For 35 years, C-VILLE Weekly has been your source for free (!) local news and arts content. We've never asked you to buy a subscription, we've never blocked access to our stories with a pesky paywall. But if we're being honest, we can't go on like this. 

Across the country, small weekly papers are struggling to stay funded in order to stay free—and we're no different. While this beautiful city has kept us up and running through advertising support since 1989, now we also need you to defend the free word and help us keep telling local stories. 

Whether you can help in the form of a few dollars a month or a larger one-time gift, your contribution helps keep the lights on—in our office, sure, but also the light we work to shine into every corner of Charlottesville.
